Sebastian Bach & Friends - Forever Wild 2002 Tour
May 17, 2002 - The Webster Theatre - Hartford, CT
Report by Henry Bocanegra
Photographs by Angel Cruz of www.rockinyourworld.com

Sebastian Bach is a true ROCK STAR, one of the few that are left - and judging by the crazed reaction of the packed crowd at The Webster Theatre in Hartford, they all agree with me.

Baz set the tone for the night early on when like a Bat out of hell he frenzied to the stage (head banging, microphone swirling) and delivered a killer rendition of "Slave to the Grind." The audience went nuts and the madness did not stop until the last note of "Youth Gone Wild" was played.

On this evening Sebastian delivered an awesome set that included songs from all aspects of his career, Skid Row, solo & Broadway, a killer metallized version of Jekill & Hyde's "Confrontation" being a definite highlight. The crowd sang along to everything, even the Rocky Horror Picture Show's "Time Warp."

Sebastian looked great, and he sounded even better - his voice is still one of the best in the genre. His band, which included ex-Megadeth guitarist Al Pitrelli and former Anthrax shredder Paul Crook, was in top form. Pitrelli is always impressive and Crook is arguably the most underrated musician on Earth. The man can do it all - he's a top-notch shredder, a great songwriter, plus he can sing. I, for one, look forward to Paul Crook's future projects.

The Set List:

Slave To The Grind
Here I Am
Rock 'N Roll
Piece Of Me
18 & Life
The Threat
Livin' On a Chain Gang
This is the Moment
Sweet Little Sister
Done Bleeding
In A Darkened Room
Monkey Business/Time Warp
-Encore-
Confrontation
I Remember You
Youth Gone Wild

I think one of the audience members I talked to said it best, so I'll leave you with this statement:

"What a killer night! This is one of those nights that you wish would never end."

Sebastian is working on a brand new studio CD, as well as his first DVD - tentatively titled BACH IN YER FACE.
