It's hard to believe that hard rock veteran
Rob Rock is just releasing his first solo album here in
the year 2000. Rock has been a mainstay of the hard rock
scene since his first big break on the M.A.R.S. Project:
Driver CD in 1986. That disc saw Rock teamed with guitarist
Tony MacAlpine, bassist Rudy Sarzo, and drummer Tommy Aldridge.
After Sarzo and Aldridge left for Whitesnake
in 1987, Rock continued to hone his vocal and songwriting
skills by recording albums with a number of great guitarists
including Roy Z, Axel Rudi Pell, and Chris Impellitteri.
Now Rob has stepped out on his own to
start his solo career with his debut album called Rage
Of Creation. It was produced and co-written by Rock's
long-time friend, Roy Z, who has recently produced Bruce
Dickinson (Iron Maiden), Rob Halford (Judas Priest), and
Helloween. Roy Z also plays guitar, bass, and keyboards
on the album. On the drums is Reynold "Butch"
Carlson. Gregory Analla provides backing vocals. Making
guest appearances on several songs are guitarist Jake E.
Lee and bassist Ray Burke. Lead vocals are, of course, belted
out by Rob Rock.
Rob has allowed us to bring you this
full-length track from Rage Of Creation. "Streets
of Madness" is a great example of the all-out rock
assault that Rage Of Creation brings to your ears.
