Doro Pesch, the queen of all things Metal returns to the spotlight with Calling The Wild, her first U.S. release in years.

The Performance: Doro's singing is as powerful as it ever was, and Calling the Wild is the perfect showcase for it. The album also features a slew of guests, like Slash, Lemmy(Is God), Al Pitrelli, Bob Kulick, Eric Singer, and others(a.k.a. Metal's elite). But it is Doro's show and she delivers an almost flawless performance. A highlight for me was her beautiful performance of "Constant Danger" which sends chills down your spine.

The Songs: Highlights include "I Give My Blood (Dedication)" (Featuring Al Pitrelli on lead guitar), a killer cover of Billy Idol's "White Wedding", and the two duets with Lemmy "Love Me Forever" and "Alone Again".

The Production: Solid production is the name of the game here. 'Nuff said.

The Bottom Line: Fans of solid Euro-metal, Warlock and Doro must have this album. If you've never been exposed to Doro's music, then you should give it a chance, you'll be pleasantly surprised.
