Veteran Chicago rockers Enuff Z'Nuff return with another great album, the aptly titled Ten. In what has become typical Z'Nuff fashion, Ten is a music lover's dream - a rockin', catchy, melodic masterpiece that manages to captivate you after just one listen.

Although Ten is full of bright spots, Donnie Vie's voice is the main highlight of this record, as he is one of the most talented musicians I have ever heard. He can write killer songs, can sing like John Lennon and Robin Zander's illegitimate child and can play the guitar like there's no tomorrow. As a matter of fact, Donnie is responsible for all guitars on Ten, which is pretty impressive on its own. But going back to Donnie's voice, I have seen very few singers that can express such emotion, power, anger, sadness, happiness and melancholy with their voice. Donnie can reach your soul and when he sings, you can feel exactly what he's feeling - a true testament of his unique talent. For a taste, check out "Wake Up" and you will see exactly what I'm talking about.

Chip Z'Nuff is one of the most underrated bass players on Earth, but don't short-change yourself; pay special attention to the Bass on Ten and you will be blown away by some phenomenal Bass playing. Chip's also a great songwriter and a good singer as his voice totally complements Donnie's thus making the Enuff Z'Nuff vocal harmonies a heavenly experience. He even sings lead on a killler cover of David Bowie's "The Jean Genie". Rounding out the performances on this record is the always steady Ricky Parent cleverly pounding away at the drums. Also, as an added bonus, us PC users get a copy of the cool video for "There Goes My Heart".

The one drawback on this record is the addition of Cheap Trick's "Everything Works If You Let It" which was released on their previous album Paraphernalia, with a better mix. The song features Billy Corgan on "lead guitar" (Translation: a very loud and annoyingly redundant fuzz sound). If you want to listen to this song, listen to the version on Paraphernalia where Billy Corgan's annoying fuzz is almost non-existant as it's turned way down. As a fan, I would have preffered to hear another Chip and Donnie original instead.

**Note to Enuff Z'Nuff: Your talent as musicians and songwriters stands on it's own. You really don't need Billy Corgan ruining your songs** But I digress...

The Bottom line: Ten stands on its own as a killer collection of well-written, well-performed, catchy, and melodic songs - Musical Bliss from the world's most underrated band.
