With Like Father, Like Sons, Matthew and Gunnar Nelson pay tribute to their legendary father, Rick Nelson. Like Father, Like Sons is a raw-sounding live recording of Matthew and Gunnar performing most of their father's hits. The Nelsons take pride in the fact that there are no overdubs or re-tracks in this recording, and they should be very proud since it sounds absolutely great.

It is very refreshing to see Rick Nelson's legacy come alive as Matthew and Gunnar pour their hearts out into this performance. And all the hits are there, "Stood Up," "I'm Walking," "Fools Rush In," "Hello Mary Lou," "Garden Party," and the all time classic "Travelin' Man." All the trademark Nelson harmonies and heartfelt vocals are there as well as some killer rockabilly guitar by Michael Turner.

As an added bonus you get a live acoustic version of "Just Once More", a beautiful song that they wrote for their father. The first time I heard this song was at a live performance by The Nelsons and it brought tears to my eyes. Anybody who's ever lost someone they cared about will immediately identify with this song.

If you've never been exposed to the music of Rick Nelson, or his talented sons, now's a great time to start. Like Father, Like Sons is a fun record which everyone(regardless of musical taste or background) will enjoy profusely. Plus "Just Once More" alone is worth the price of the CD. So, pick up a copy, start rockin' and get turned on to the Nelson legacy!!
