Westworld is an All-Star project featuring premier vocalist Tony Harnell (TNT), Axe-Master Mark Reale (Riot), bassist Bruno Ravel (Danger Danger) and drummer John O' Reilly (Rainbow). Westworld provides some much-needed awesome straight-ahead Melodic Hard Rock. This is a Great album from beginning to end. What makes it so great? I'll tell ya: Tony Harnell's Soaring Melodic Vocals, Mark Reale's Melodic "Schenkeresque" Guitar Work, and most importantly, the strength of the songs both musically and lyrically. Oh, and there's plenty of shred! Plenty!! The one drawback of this record (if any) is the rhythm section. Ravel has some shining moments, but O' Reilly's drumming is pretty standard - nothing spectacular there. But it does work. I just can't say enough about Harnell's vocals; both leads and harmonies are just stellar (as usual). Reale shows off his talents by providing some killer axe-work. Paul Orofino (Riot) handles the production, along with Harnell and Reale and they do a terrific job. The vocals and guitar leads just come out and grab you, and that's exactly what we want!

Here's the track by track review:
1. Illusions - Great opener. A catchy, melodic song with a killer solo reminiscent of early TNT.
2. I Belong - Another catchy rocker, mid-tempo with a great vibe.
3. Pigeon Hole - Great Solo, love the ending, a killer bridge along with a trademark Harnell scream.
4. Heart Song - (MetalGod's Pick) An eternal love ballad. You'll be singing along instantly, I love this song!! Violin Virtuoso Mark Wood provides the string arrangement and Reale's guitar screams. This is {arguably} Tony's best vocal performance to date.
5. Little Voices - A mid-tempo rocker with a killer combination of hooks.
6. Bring The Water To Me - This is a Killer Tune! Reale's Awesome Guitar fills along with his acoustic work make the song. Great Vocals (another Harnell scream) and a catchy chorus as well (What else is new?).
7. Love You Insane - Killer intro riff, possibly in some ways, the heaviest tune in the CD. I love the contrast provided by the bridge and chorus. Strong ending. Check it out!
8. Shame - Mid-tempo ballad with a Killer Chorus. Great solo, quite different.
9. Ivory Towers - Another straight-ahead melodic rocker.
10. Suicide - A mellow acoustic ballad with great vocals, and very inventive lyrics. I'm sure we've all felt like that at some point in our life. Very catchy, you'll be singing along to this one as well.

Westworld is a great Melodic Rock album, if anything, just Heart Song is worth the price of the disc. But don't buy it just for "Heart Song." Every song on this album is good - expect no duds! The cool thing is that this will be an on-going project and they are currently working on disc number 2, so the future looks bright. This disc should be in every single Hard Rock fan's collection. As a matter of fact, if you're reading this, do yourself a favor and click the link below and order this CD RIGHT NOW, I promise you won't regret it. You trust me now, don't ya???
